Acting as project manager, APP has been working closely with the University of Newcastle to deliver the project. The award reflects the University’s vision to grow, develop knowledge and be a driver of the innovative regional economy.
APP Project Director Ethan Clark said “The award is a significant recognition in sustainable development, assessed against the highest standards for healthy and resilient buildings. Q Building has now set a new benchmark for sustainable design in regional NSW and we’re excited to see students and staff benefitting from this state-of-the facility for many years to come.”
Q Building has been recognised for the implementation of effective energy and water monitoring systems, providing high air quality and visual comfort through well-lit spaces, reduction of internal air pollutant levels and using building materials that are responsibly sourced.
Congratulations to all involved.
